Fabschool is about to start
To be officially kicked off within October 2015, Fabschool is a learning program for youngsters on key aspects of digital fabrication (e.g. scanning, cutting, extrusion, Arduino), featuring both lectures and hands-on sessions. The pilot will involve some 250 high-school youths in Milan to create a model and then scale up.
Digital fabrication learning offers young individuals a great opportunity to express their creativity, challenge their ability to innovate, design and make, and ultimately create innovative businesses. Technology and educational support will be provided by FabLabs, novel urban labs with advanced prototyping and production equipment (3D printers, laser cutters, milling machines), helping participants learn and share their knowledge about technologies and design, and more generally their ‘making skills’.
For The European House – Ambrosetti this initiative is one of its many activities to breed young entrepreneurs and foster their development in Italy, while for Fondazione Cariplo is an action confirming its resolute choice to be a champion of young people, innovation, and the local community.
