No dialogue, no citizenship

Held on October 1, 2010, ‘No dialogue, no citizenship’ was the title of the international workshop jointly organized by  Fondazione Cariplo and the Bertelsmann Foundation to discuss  multiculturalism, share knowledge and experiences.

Both Foundations have been working in this sphere for several years. In particular, Fondazione Cariplo has carried out a project called Interculture aimed at facilitating the integration of immigrant children into Italian schools and society, and has selected and funded a number of other projects through its call for proposals  “Promoting intercultural integration in schools and  local communities” held since 2010.

The workshop followed the lecture on multiculturalism given by Charles Taylor, one of the world’s most prominent contemporary political philosophers at Fondazione Cariplo Conference Center on June 9, 2010.
