EFC 26th AGA and Conference in Milan
In May 2015, the city of Milan will host the European Foundation Centre’s (EFC) 26th Annual General Assembly (AGA) and Conference. The EFC is the international association, based in Brussels, active in the promotion and strengthening of the philanthropic sector in Europe and worldwide. The AGA and Conference 2015 will be held May 20th to 22nd at the Fieramilano Mi.Co. Centre, and is expected to attract over 600 delegates from all over the world.
Three weeks after the official opening of the EXPO, scheduled on May 1st, 2015, the Conference will provide a valuable opportunity for foundations to meet and engage with civil society and in particular with the Third Sector on issues critical to the development and the future of philanthropy. The sessions will deal with the themes of: Philanthropy, government and corporate engagement for social equality; community resilience; scientific research, responsible innovation, sustainable development; and finally on young people as an engine for change.
The event is organised by the EFC in collaboration with Fondazione Cariplo. The host committee also comprises several other Italian foundations: Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Torino, Compagnia di Sanpaolo, Fondazione di Venezia, Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Padova e Rovigo, Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Cuneo, Fondazione Bracco, Enel Cuore, Fondazione UMANA MENTE and Unicredit Foundation.
