Reporting & Financials
Reporting on our activities
Fondazione Cariplo devotes special attention to reporting on its activities. It does so for the sake of transparency and also to share our achievements. It has been through wise management of assets that those achievements have been possible as the good financial results it generated enabled us to transform those returns into grants and other forms of funding for worthwhile endeavors.
Fondazione Cariplo has been reporting annually on its performance since 1998. Early on, its results were disclosed via a Social Report which was replaced in 2005 by our Annual Report. In 2006, our Foundation decided to prepare also a Mission-based Report based on the guidelines provided by ACRI (Association of Italian Savings Banks and Banking Foundations), following recommendations from our government.
Evaluating the initiatives that we support is of great importance to us as it assures the appropriateness of our endeavors. The main projects we support are monitored along the way to check their progress and course-correct if needed. In addition to grantees’ financial reports on projects, our Mission-based Report and Annual Report provide details on the projects and initiatives that receive funding from our Foundation.
We take pride in our ethical conduct in everything we do to a level of excellence, including our reporting. It is a point of honor for our Foundation and has won us recognitions, including the 2008 Annual Report Oscar - a prestigious award bestowed on organizations achieving communication excellence in their annual reports by Ferpi, the Italian Association of PR Professionals and held under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Italy.
