European Learning Lab
Launched in 2010 by Fondazione Cariplo in collaboration with the Brussels-based European Foundation Centre, the European Learning Lab (ELL) is a series of international advanced learning workshops held in Milan. The series started with a workshop on Project Management focused on stakeholder management by nonprofit organizations during projects, and addresses a different subject each year.
The workshop features the examination of case studies relating to projects handled by the participants within their respective organization to facilitate a more immediate transfer of notions learned in the classroom to real life situations. In addition to learning sessions, the ELL also provides opportunities for networking, knowledge sharing, partnerships and benchmarking as well as international exchanges under the TIEPOLO Program. Classes are international (about 25 people) and lessons are held in English.
Junior and senior program officers from 15 European foundations in 11 countries - Russia, Denmark, Spain, Portugal, Austria, the United Kingdom, Greece, the Netherlands, Sweden and Italy - participated in the program in 2010 and 2011.
